Hollywood has a subway system?
Los Angeles residents are eternally cursed with the grueling traffic zones throughout the city's limits. Hours can be wasted behind the wheel as gridlocked traffic moves at a snail's pace, and an iPod can only satisfy one's attention span for so long. Luckily, elite and aware urban trotters use the squeaky clean and ever efficient LA Metro Subway system. With five color-coordinated train/bus lines (Red, Blue, Purple, Orange, and Gold), commuters can get to many traffic-heavy areas without the woe of immobile depression. With popular stops throughout downtown's Financial and Theater districts, one can stop off in Chinatown for a culture shock or step off onto the famous Hollywood Boulevard Walk of Fame. Perhaps one would like to escape Los Angeles? Just take the Blue Line to Long Beach and enjoy their beach front shops, piers and the popular
Long Beach Aquarium.

Tourists and residents living in Hollywood have three choices to enter the underground palace.
Hollywood & Highland, Hollywood & Vine or Hollywood & Western. Each stop features a different design and theme with Hollywood & Vine being a favorite. The ceiling at Hollywood & Vine is covered with discarded film reels, painted a steel blue. The platform also displays some of the first broadcast cameras used in the business. Educational, Entertaining and Extremely useful, the LA Metro system is a "no-brainer".

With plans to continue to expand the rails to new areas and more accessible for more residents, it's no doubt that Los Angeles will soon be known as a public transport city like New York City as these new tracks are laid and more people realize the effective use of public transportation.
