If you're the kind of person who loves honey as your choice of sweetener -- you're gonna love "Honibe" (www.honibe.com), the world's first pure non-sticky honey in a solid drop you can carry with you. As much as we adore those squeezable honey bears you can find at virtually every supermarket, they will create amusing stares if you whip one out of your purse at your favorite tea house.

This Canadian product is delicious, clever and packaged to stay fresh and makes consuming honey oh, so easy -- but it's currently available in only one place in Los Angeles - Owen's Market (9769 West Pico Blvd. 310-286-9367 www.owensla.com).

Honibe president John Rowe tells us that after visiting the Fancy Food Show in San Francisco this month, new distribution channels are being made throughout the western states , so availability at local stores will be stepped up by summer. In the meantime, hurry on over to Owen's to grab a box.  And of course, you can also order from the website. Once you try a Honibe drop, you'll be hooked!  Honibes also make a great mid-morning pick me up instead of that usual morning pastry or bagel.

Until our next food find....may all your food finds be fabulous!
