It's worth the 40-minute drive north of Detroit; Romeo's Tillman Street is webbed and wonderful and is the place to see jack-o'-lanterns, mummies, and ghouls of all kinds. The residents knock 
themselves out to create a neighborhood that's become a traditional destination for people all around the area. The displays have been set up each year for more than two decades and become larger and more elaborate as neighbors compete to have the most entertaining display on the street. Kids from Romeo as well as the surrounding communities of Armada, Almont, and Capac make a trip to Tillman Street a part of their Halloween trick-or-treating traditions.
Just as cruising on Christmas Eve to look at the holiday lights has been a seasonal treat for families for as long as there have been decorations to hang, the sights in Romeo make the same type of trip a part of Halloween fun. So pack up your pumpkins and head up M-53. There's still plenty of time to check out some new haunts!
