John and Yoko's honeymoon bed-in
John Lennon would have been 69 years old today. John Winston Lennon , was born October 9th, 1940 in Liverpool , England. He later became John Winston Ono Lennon when he married Yoko Ono on March 20th, 1969. John and Yoko's honeymoon was famous for the "bed in" that occurred in Amsterdam in room 902 in the presidential suite at the Amsterdam Hilton.
John was shot on December 8th, 1980 in New York City.
John's birthday will be celebrated world wide.
John's birthday is the kick off for the "Imagine Peace Tower" celebrations.
IMAGINE PEACE TOWER is an outdoor work of art conceived by Yoko Ono in memory of John Lennon, built
in REYKJAVIK, ICELAND.
