AutumnFest, a free celebration of the arts in Avondale Estates in Decatur, ends today, Sunday, October 25, 12-5pm. The event features more than 60 regional artists and craftsmen selling original paintings, folk art, metal sculpture, ceramics, photography, glass, jewelry, and textiles. Autumnfest is located across North Avondale Plaza, which becomes Covington Highway, from the Avondale Estates City Hall. Click here for a basic map. Children's activities include fun crafts with puppeteer Heidi Carpenter, who will also have her own puppets on sale; simple crafts courtesy of Avondale Patillo Methodist Church; information about the new The Museum School, as well as balloons and face painting; and much more.
