In Honor of our Veterans!
Thank you, to every veteran and military personnel for the service you give unselfishly. There are never enough words or parades, that can exhibit the level of gratitude a country can bestow upon the very people who sacrifice so much for the freedoms the citizens of this country enjoy.
The health of our veterans is compromised, no matter what level of service they provide. During and after the tour of duty, the body and the mind undergo tremendous stress and physical strain. The life threatening injuries incurred in previous wars are, in today’s technological health care, salvageable. Our guys and gals are coming home with loss of limbs and brain trauma, like never before experienced. The physical sacrifices are apparent and obvious. But what about the mental anguish? What about the toxicities of the physical environment, and the toxicities of negative emotions; they are always on guard and on the defensive, away from family and friends, living in uncomfortable surroundings. There are consequences to the long term exposure of this lifestyle, and much if it is ignored as a problem within our present health care system.
It is shameful how our government does not provide the best health care for our vets. It is unacceptable to see or hear of a disabled vet not receiving the care he or she needs to be as healthy as they can be. It is unacceptable that more natural treatments are not available to them so that true healing can occur. A certain veteran of the first Gulf War used his life savings to obtain natural cleansing and detoxification procedures to heal his Gulf War syndrome. Like anyone, a veteran can utilize many modalities in healing: fresh, natural foods, vitamin and mineral supplements, colon cleansing, acupuncture, neurotransmitter tests, group support systems, and massage and chiropractic care, and naturopathic medicine, or homeopathy. Many of these forms of treatment have shown to be of value, and it would be wonderful if we could provide our true heroes with real healing! Many of them don’t know these options are available to them. But those who know of them can’t afford to pay for them.
There is plenty of research available for anyone who wants to study the effects of Gulf War syndrome and some natural modalities that help. What are they calling the Iraq syndrome? Whatever it is, the same issues can be treated with natural approaches.
Thank you again, to all our heroes for fighting for our freedom. For standing up to those who want to cause harm to other humans. Thank you for being there for us. Let us be there for you, now. Blessings to you!
