After Justin’s no-show at Brody’s party, Kristin headed out to lunch with Lo and tells her that she had decided to go visit with her dad back in Laguna. She told Lo it was a way to forget about everything that was going on and just wanted to clear her mind. Lo thought that would be a good idea for Kristin, but reminded her that they had warned her about Justin. But, Kristin told Lo she can see that there is good there, they have had some great times together, just the two of them. Kristin also stated that she will not be the girl to chase him around like Audrina did; he was going to have to work for it.
In the meantime, Stephanie went over to Audrina’s to see how it had been going with her new boy, Derek. To no surprise, Audrina admits to Stephanie that Derek is the complete opposite from Justin, but it’s been hard because Justin has continued to text her. Audrina said it’s not fair, she’s moved on and now it was time for him to move on, too.
That day, Kristin arrived back to her old stomping grounds, Laguna Beach to visit with her dad and step-mom. The three relaxed by the pool and enjoyed some wine, while Kristin filled them in on her hectic life in L.A. The discussion then turned to boy talk and Kristin told her dad that she has been seeing a lot of Brody, lately, but he has matured so much since they broke up. She also told her dad about Justin, but told him they are not officially dating. However, Kristin told them this was not the “bring-home-to-dad” type. She said, he has a lot of baggage from his past relationship with Audrina.
Later that night, Stephanie was invited to a Bolthouse Event with Spencer, Heidi, and Heidi’s sister Holly. Everyone appeared to be enjoying themselves and the photo exhibits on display until they noticed that Holly had been drinking a little too much. She began to get out-of-control and dancing. Stephanie confronted Heidi and said that Holly needs help. Every time Stephanie has seen Holly out; Holly has been kicked out for being too drunk. After Heidi finally agreed she would do it, but she would have to take Spencer along because she was so nervous to confront her.
Back in Malibu, Kristin arrived home to find Justin in her kitchen cooking dinner for her. It was his way of apologizing to Kristin for his no-show to Brody’s party. Kristin said that he would only be allowed ‘one dinner to say he is sorry.’ She tried to make it clear that his bad-boy ways will not fly with her. They then took their dinner out to her deck and Justin told her that she was the first girl he had ever cooked for and may even tell his mom that he did. As soon as he mentioned something about his mom, Kristin confessed that she had gone home and told her dad about Justin. But although she told her dad, she explains that she did not want a boyfriend. Justin said he had to be careful with her, too and even referred to her as a “wildcard.” After they agreed they were perfect for each other, they wasted no time to end their night inside; they did not even clean up their dishes from dinner.
In the same night, Audrina joined Derek for another date. Derek told Audrina that he had texted Justin to let him know that he was seeing Audrina. Derek also asked if she was over Justin. Audrina barely answered and answered with a very unsure shrug of her shoulders. Derek seemed to realize that it must be hard for her, because they had dated for four years and now they weren’t.
The next day was when Spencer and Heidi agreed to meet Holly for lunch, and they were going to confront her about her drinking. When Holly arrived, she barely sat down before she was already ordering a margarita with Patron. Heidi came out with it, and voiced her concerns about Holly’s excessive drinking. Spencer immediately jumped in and explained that as much as he loved drinking, too; the Bolthouse event was a perfect opportunity to network. That was not an event to look unprofessional and party because she may do business in the future with them. After Spencer’s explanation, Holly agreed that she would slow down on her drinking.
The morning after her private dinner with Justin, Kristin visited with Brody at his condo. When she sat down, she asked Brody if Jayde knew about them meeting. He responded that he had told Jayde before that he and Kristin are great friends and will be seeing a lot of Kristin since she would be moving to the area. Kristin switched the Jayde talk to Justin talk and told Brody how he made dinner for her. Brody immediately warned her that Audrina would probably be after her, but Kristin told him all about how she tried to clear the air with Audrina and she never showed up. Brody hoped that she was not seeing Justin just to get back at Audrina. She said that although she did not think she would actually like him, she did like him now.
Later on that evening, Justin met up with Audrina for, what seemed to be, just drinks. Audrina had invited him because she wanted to ‘break the ice’ between them. She wanted to avoid any awkwardness if they were to ever run into each other, but confessed it was very hard to see him with Kristin. Justin admitted to Audrina that it felt weird to have another girl on the back of his motorcycle, but thought it was not right of her to start seeing his friend, Derek. Audrina only had Kristin to defend her seeing Derek, but Justin said it was not the same; Derek was his good friend. He asked her how it would feel if the roles were switched and he was seeing one of her good friend. He followed it up with that although he is seeing Kristin, ‘nothing will be better than Audrina Patridge.’ Audrina quickly agreed to not talk to Derek anymore.
