The Democratic National Committee tomorrow will launch the above TV ad supporting Democratic congressional candidate Scott Murphy, The Examiner has learned.
Murphy is running to represent the people of New York's 20th congressional district, the seat vacated when New York Governor David A. Paterson appointed Kristen Gillibrand, the Democratic Congresswoman who had been representing the district to fill the United States Senate seat vacated when Hillary Rodham Clinton resigned to become Secretary of State. Murphy, a venture capitalist and entrepreneur is a political newcomer, who has never held public office before will face off against the Republican Minority Leader of the New York State Assembly, who by his own admission does not live in the district that he is seeking to represent.
"Scott Murphy has the skills and experience the people of upstate New York need in Washington, and he'll be a partner in helping President Obama turn our economy around and create jobs," said DNC Chairman Tim Kaine. "Scott is the right man for this job and after Tuesday President Obama will have another ally in his effort to bring the change we need to the ways of Washington."
The ad will run on all TV stations in the district through Monday.
