The first Alfa 8C Competizione arrives in the States
The first Alfa 8C Competizione destined for the US market has arrived in Connecticut (USA). The handover ceremony took place at “Miller Motorcars” where the owner picked up the glamorous car. The proud owner is James Glickenhaus, a reknowned worldwide car collector.
Immediately after the official handover of the keys, the Glickenhaus took a personal road test to appreciate the main technical and dynamic features of his Alfa 8C Competizione.
With a limited production of five hundred units, the 8C was designed by Centro Stile Alfa Romeo (the Alfa Romeo Style Centre) and is distinguished for its sleek design design, engineering and mechanical excellence. According to Ala Romeo, the vehicle's lines "express all the beauty of a veritable piece of poetry in motion that harks back to the brand's glorious past while also carrying forward its attributes of engineering and emotion into the future."
The Alfa 8C Competizione is equipped with a 4.7 litre 8 cylinder engine putting out 450 horsepower, nd is mated to a 6 speed gearbox. The 8C exudes traditional Italian elegance, a unique style and the sporty drive that Alfa Romeo is known for.
The remaining 84 Alfa 8C Competizione destined for the US will be delivered by year's end.
