The warm waters if the Gulf of Mexico could cause Ida to increase intensity as over 30 storms have done in the past during the month of November. However, the good news is, that presently, it looks as if the wind sheer from the West may keep this from happening. But wait, the bad news is that whatever happens, the westerly winds will push it towards Florida. Fishing weather could be curtailed.

Due to the uncertainty, make sure you have a hurricane float or move plan in place. Trailer boats need a route and timeline plan. If moving is not the plan, make certain the boat will drain well. Leaves can clog drain ports. Boats in the water need a hurricane tie down plan, move or pullout of the water plan.
