The Twilight Saga: New Moon bonanza continues as the latest magazine to use its stars for the cover is Harper's Bazaar. The December 2009 issue features Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart in photos that will delight fans of the Twilight Saga as well as focus on the "are they or aren't they?" rumor that the two are an item. This is the second magazine this week to unveil a Twilight cover, with Vanity Fair doing so yesterday.
Interestingly enough, VF and HB both take differing stances on the rumored relationships between the costars. In his interview with VF, Pattinson states that there is nothing going on between he and Stewart, whereas in HB it is said that the two are "close - very close." Hmmm... what on earth could that mean?
The article in HB focuses heavily on whether the two are an item. "At the moment, there is only one thing anyone cares about regarding these two... Are they dating or what? Well...it's clear that Rob and Kristen are close—very close." The interviewer, Laura Brown, asks Pattinson and Stewart who is more romantic, to which Stewart replies, "I have a no-bulls--t detector. So I'd have to say Rob is. I think romance is anything honest. As long as it's honest, it's so disarming." Pattinson has a different take: "Um, I don't know. What did Kristen say? No. I'm better at faking."
Perhaps one of the most revealing parts of the interview is a sort of 'Newlywed Game' between Pattinson and Stewart, in which they are asked questions like "Who is more competitive? Whp spends more time on their hair?" The replies are surprising and funny. For instance, in regards to the competitive question, the answers are as follows:
"Kristen: "Rob. In a very childish way, in every aspect of his life. He'll literally start talking in a different voice if he's won something. He sounds like a five-year-old."
Rob: "I'd say it was even. She said me? Really? When I really win things, it's just like..." [Kristen is correct: He makes a noise like a five-year-old.]"
