Who is the best actress under 30?  According to a new poll, Princess Diaries star Anne Hathaway came out on top.  Number 2 was Keira Knightly, followed by Michelle Williams, Hathaway's co-star in Brokeback Mountain. 

Lovefilm.com put together a poll of some of the top actresses based on commercial and critical success over the last 12 months and let voters decide the best. According to a report in the Telegraph today, Helen Cowley, the editor of lovefilm.com says, "The film industry is swarming with hugely gifted young actresses at the moment, from lads' fave Megan Fox to the multi-talented Anne Hathaway." 

The rankings shifted a bit from last year and include several new entries.  Anne Hathaway jumped from 6th last year to number 1, bumping Keira Knightly to 2nd, down from the top spot last year.  Scarlett Johansson was 3rd last year but fell to 8th place this year.  The youngest on the list were 15 year olds Saoirse Ronan (number 16) and Dakota Fanning (number 19).  Fanning was joined by several other actresses from the Twilight Saga:  Kristen Stewart (number 9) and Bryce Dallas Howard (number 14).
