Tony Curtis, the only main participant still living from Some Like it Hot, will celebrate the classic movie’s 50th anniversary at Stamford, Connecticut’s Avon Theatre tomorrow night, November 8.

The event features a book signing/reception, a discussion of the movie and then a screening.

Curtis has been making several appearances this year in an effort to promote his book, The Making of Some Like it Hot: My Memories of Marilyn Monroe and the Classic American Movie, which was released in conjunction with the movie’s milestone anniversary.

In the book, Tony Curtis claims that he had an affair with co-star Marilyn Monroe and that the liaison resulted in her pregnancy, which she later miscarried. At the time, Curtis was married to actress Janet Leigh and Monroe married to playwright Arthur Miller. Many, however, are skeptical of Curtis’s claims about his relationship with the Queen of Hollywood, whom he had previously gone on record saying kissing her was like “kissing Hitler.”
