Summer has neared its end here in Florida and the mile-long lines are no longer wrapped around every Twistee Treat and Bruster’s in town. However, one ice cream joint is still thriving, thanks to it’s location-literally across the street from UCF. Jeremiah’s Italian Ice is also conveniently situated next door to every college student’s favorite pizza place, Lazy Moon.
Jeremiah’s obviously has Italian ice, and in some unique flavors such as Horchata, Scoop Froggy Frog, and Pumpkin Pie. They also have amazing soft serve ice cream. I had the classic chocolate (about two dollars), and their other flavors include vanilla and swirl. They serve Gelatis too, my new favorite discovery. It’s a mix of soft serve ice cream and Italian ice, and I honestly didn’t think it would be that good when I first tried it, but it really is delicious. It’s the perfect mix of crunchy and soft.
So after you get out of class, head over to Jeremiah’s for a cold, creamy, cheap treat. I mean, who doesn’t love frog mascots?
