Dog lost for six months reunited with family. Where the heck was Buck?

Buck went missing last August from his family. While traveling in Montana, the Halter family made a rest stop and a "train whistle spooked Buck and he took off." The Halters stayed in the area a few days and searched for Buck, even putting up posters. The Halters returned to their home in Seattle without their beloved pet.
Then a Montana family called a few days ago to say they had found Buck.
And only Buck knows the story of his adventure.
