You fill in your own topic how this relates to dogs, but this Examiner heard from an extremely reliable source that Chris and Kathleen Matthews stopped by the Blessed Sacrament Christmas tree stand in Chevy Chase on Sunday December 7, at 8pm.  A nineteen-year old tree attendant put the chosen tree in the trunk of the Matthews’ black Mercedes and then Chris Matthews stated he had no money with him.  Kathleen Matthews also stated she did not have her purse.  Chris Mathews suggested he take the tree home, put it in the stand, and then return with payment. 

The nineteen year old attendant said, “I can’t let you leave with the tree, I'm sorry." 

According to the source, Chris Matthews then raised his voice and said, “You don’t understand what is going on here, I’m Chris Matthews!”   

The source offered to remove the tree from the trunk while the Matthews' went home to get payment.  But according to the source Matthews turned to his wife and suggested she go home to get the funds and then turned to the source and said, "See what you made her do?  You made her walk two blocks each way."

The attendant offered, “I grew up watching your show with my father and am a big fan.”

Chris Matthews then retreated to his idling car and waited as Mrs. Matthews walked the four blocks roundtrip, in the dark for the money.

The tree salesman was paid upon Mrs. Matthews return. 

There was no tip.  

The tree salesman told this Examiner he was unable to sleep worried he had insulted Mr. Matthews.  This Examiner assures the young man he was not in the wrong.

Isn’t Chris Matthews running for Senate?  Do we understand what is going on here?  Do you know who Chris Mathews is?  Why did Mrs. Mathews have to do the footwork?  

Question to Matthews:  Do you know at whose kid you were yelling!!???

I know how this story relates to dogs.  My dogs should run for Senate.

Chris Matthews was not contacted for comment, because this Examiner is still too irritated about the incident.  The teenager was a graduate of the Lab School of Washington.
