Date: Sat. December 6. It's the 38th year for the Scottish Walk Weekend.
Time: 11 am- 1pm
Locale: Watch the Scottish clans and listen to the bagpipes go down St.Asaph Street and end at King and Royal Streets
Want to march in the parade?
If you are interested in marching in the parade take a look at the participants list. The Westie Rescue Group takes last minute marchers. The Potomac Cairn Terrier Club will also be in the parade. There is a Scottish Terrier Group in the parade, along with an Airedale bunch. Not only Scottish dogs are welcome, though. We have seen Labs and Goldens trotting along in the parade.
If you want to be a spectator, bring the whole family and the dog. Old Town is extremely pet-friendly.
Why Scottish? Old Town is rich in Scottish heritage. This is a very colorful parade and thousands come out for the event. You will be amazed at all the faithful canine friends in the parade and along the route as spectators.
See you there!
