The world's first cloned pet dog had her first birthday.  Lou Hawthorne's dog Missy died in 2002.  His new dog Mira, is Missy's exact replica. A Korean biotech firm cloned Mira from Missy.

Mira shows many signs of being like her DNA sake, Missy.  Mira has the same athleticism as Missy and she appears to have the same intelligence.

The University of California at Davis veterinary genetics lab confirmed the genetic exactness of the dog.

Environment is said to be a contributing factor to personality, as Mira, unlike Missy, does not mind loud noises and bright lights.

Cloning fees range from $130,000 to $170,000.

Do you think this is ethical?  Would you do it if the cost were reasonable?
