Want a unique and affordable gift?
Carol Sinclair and Amber Lowe are two accomplished artists who are available to take your holiday commission orders.
Amber Lowe has been involved with the visual arts since she was a small child. Lowe considers her primary focus to be pets and nature, though she does enjoy painting other subjects for variety and challenge.
“When I paint a subject I feel as if I am fortunate to experience an intimate knowledge of it. This relationship is the primary driving force behind my artwork,” explains Lowe.
Lowe works in many mediums. Currently her medium of choice is acrylic with oil pastel. She loves the bold color and its blendability, giving her work more drama and energy. Prices start at $150.
Carol Sinclair
Carol Sinclair is an award-winning artist who has fulfilled over four thousand commissions internationally. Sinclair specializes in pen-and-ink or ink and watercolor.
“[Dogs] are our family, too. I want to capture in my paintings the personality and feelings I sense in each dog,” said Sinclair.
“I always emphasize the pet’s eyes then their mouth. Their expressive eyes are usually easy - but sometimes can be difficult, too,” noted Sinclair when discussing how she approaches her artwork.
A general range of prices for Sinclair’s commissions in ink and watercolor range from $139-$239, depending on size. She uses archival paper for her compositions.
