Spreading Holiday Cheer !!
Spreading Holiday Cheer !!
Happy Holiday's

This is my favorite time of year.  It is the time of year when we all reach inside ourselves and try to become better people.  As parents it's our job to show our children that the holiday's is more than buying present and receiving gifts. It's about connecting with family and helping those in need.

We do not have to be wealthy people to spread joy and love during the holidays.  We simply have to have an open heart.  This year start a new tradition with your family by helping others in some small way.

Idea's for spreading the Holiday Spirit

  1. If you see a mother with a full cart of grocery's & children in the car, offer to help load the groceries or to take her cart back inside for her
  2. Hold the door open for more than just the one person in front of you
  3. Line's at the store can get long & if you happen to notice someone who is getting impatient or running late, offer them to go ahead of you
  4. Go through your closets at home and donate unwanted items to your local shelter or salvation army
  5.  If you have the funds make a small donation for Toy's for Tot's
  6. As the holidays approach stores & restaurant's get busier.  Let that sale's person or wait staff know that they are doing a great job
  7. In the morning when our car's start to be packed with snow on them, take five extra minutes and wipe off your neighbor's car
  8. Instead of exchanging gifts as adults in your family discuss donating to your local soup kitchen or volunteering
  9.  If you know someone who may not have anywhere to spend the holiday's invite them to your holiday dinner.
  10.  Call a local nursing home & ask if there are people there who could use some visitors during the holidays. Bring the kids along let them help spread joy to others

Please feel free to leave your idea's of how to spread the Holiday Spirit!
