The Animal Sanctuary Society, Inc. (ASSI) based in Mt. Laurel, NJ is hosting a Yoga Class and Spiritual Night at Active Fitness in Medford.
Held on the first Friday each month, the next class in July 3, 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Proceeds from this event are for the benefit of Animal Sanctuary Society.
You may recall ASSI is the rescue group that fostered Brody, the lab mix puppy that was rescued by Derek Blackmon, a Maple Shade man who discovered him behind a store while visiting a relative in Camden, about to be abused by a group of young adolescents armed with baseball bats and a can of lighter fluid.
ASSI is an all volunteer organization that fosters cats and dogs and has been in operation for the past 12 years. A 501(c) New Jersey corporation, ASSI is funded entirely by the generosity of donors.
So, if you can't make tomorrow's Yoga Class and Spiritual Night mark your calendar for the next first Friday of the month, August 7.
Active Fitness is located at 180 Route 70, Medford. Call 609-714-8808 for directions. If you will attend, don't forget to bring a picture of your fur kids so some spiritual insight can be communicated to you about them… RSVP to animalsanctuarys@aol.com or call 856-642-0004.
