Extraordinary times call for extraordinary measures. In these trying times it can feel all too easy to look around and see nothing but lack and hopelessness. It is now though, that we must look about and claim our abundance. So what is abundance? You are your abundance. You are your abundance because there will always be just one of you; unique upon this earth. The famous dancer Martha Graham put it best when she said "There is a vitality, a life-force, an energy, a quickening that is translated through you into action and because there is only one of you in all of time, this expression is unique. And if you block it, it will never exist through any other medium and be lost."
Take a fresh look at yourself. What do you have to offer the world now? Perhaps the loss of a job has taken you in a new direction. Take stock in your abilities, your skill set. Are you creative? Organized? Do you possess strong people skills? You don’t have to be Picasso but you could provide a company will creative problem solving or marketing solutions. Maybe someone’s business is struggling simply because they cannot get organized, can you help? How about putting a smiling, intelligent face on a company that needs to develop their reputation? You probably have natural talents that an employer would consider very valuable. Do you feel that quickening? What would you do if you were not afraid? Invest in yourself. It will be the smartest investment you could ever make. And always, always expect miracles.
