Following the success last year of an innovative program, which brought a dozen young adult Israelis to DC to mingle with local Jews in the city and at Capital Camps, the Jewish Federation of Greater Washington is at it again for year two!

This time around, eight Israelis are in America’s capital, largely to mingle with their peers. Already, they have volunteered at one of J-fed’s philanthropic pursuits, but there is much more to come! All Jewish young professionals, particularly Birthright alums, are encouraged to attend!

Birthright Israel NEXT Monologues
7:30 pm, DCJCC
Hopefully, you got your ticket for this celebration of stand-up and the spoken word, written by and for Birthright Israel alums!

Thursday, November 5
Comedy Show and Happy Hour with Benji Lovitt
6:30 pm, Midtown
Schmooze over drinks before a performance by Benji Lovitt, an American immigrant to Israel known for his comedy schtick and blog, What War Zone?

Friday, November 6
Shabbat Hoppin: Israeli Style
7 pm, DCJCC
The monthly Shabbat Hoppin’ program geared for young professionals to try out services at various local synagogues with a nostalgic, Birthright twist!

Saturday, November 7
True Life: I’m a Young Jewish Professional
12 pm, Sixth & I
Explore what it means to be a young adult Jew today with various breakout discussions, a havdalah service, and a performance by religious musician Rick Recht.
