...besides, of course, actually voting- figuring out where you're going to hang out tonight to see the results!

Local Jewish organizations have pooled together to provide at least three options for you.  Come to socialize, eat, watch, and pray for the next president of the United States.

Election Night Party: Watch the Results with Free Appetizers.
Come to the Rhino Bar for free buffalo wings, drink specials, and debate watching.  7 p.m. to midnight, costing at least $10.  Sponsored by the Jewish Professionals Network.

Election Night Watch Party
Featuring commentary from former Robert Kennedy top advisor, Peter Edelman; legal correspondent for The New Repiblic Jeffrey Rosen; etc.  Chow down on all-American food, win prizes, and take photos with the cardboard candidates.  Free, at Sixth & I, 7:30 p.m. to 11 p.m., co-sponsored with Humanity in Action and Institut Montaigne. RSVP here.

Indecision 5769: Election Night Party
A joint effort between EntryPointDC, B'nai B'rith International, JIRS, American University Hillel, AJC's Access DC, The Jewish Study Center, Young Professionals Kesher and the Avodah-AJWS Partership, come to the DCJCC between 7 p.m. and midnight for comfy chairs, big screen TVs tuned to elections coverage, and permission to "cheer, rant and rave with your fellow compatriots."  Free (with t-shirts for the first 50 participants), but RSVP at the link above.

I have to post this and then go out to vote.  :)  I hope that you all do the same.  This is a historic election (not to mention a close one,) and we need as much of the American voice as possible to mold this decision.  What will the next four years bring to this country, and to the world?  I hope you decide with me.

For more info: A Massachussets Rabbi has written a prayer for the elections, which is circling the Jewish
Blogosphere.  Read it in its entierty here.
