Triple platinum recording country artist Neal McCoy is among the host of celebrities in the Third Annual Holiday Promenade of Stars set to roll at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 7, on Highway 76 in Branson.

McCoy joins Andy Williams, Tony Orlando, Cathy Rigby, Debby Boone, the Lennon Sisters, and Jimmy Osmond who will not only be in the parade but also take the stage in front of the Titanic Museum for a parade route performance.

“The Holiday Promenade of Stars is exceptional in several ways. For instance, it is the first time in more than a decade that a parade has been held on the world famous 76 Strip. It is being filmed for national television specials to be aired on Thanksgiving and Christmas. Also, several parade participants will be periodically exiting the parade for 90-second stage performances in front of the Titanic,” said Gary Bartlett of Midwest Concerts and Events and parade organizer.

Williams is serving as grand marshal and Osmond and Boone are serving as hosts for the television special being made during the 1.4 mile-long parade that ushers in the Christmas season in the entertainment tourist town. The parade route begins at White Water and ends at the Grand Village.
Along with Williams, Osmond, Boone, the Lennons, Orlando and Rigby as Peter Pan are Johnny Lonestar, Penny Gilley, Jeff Brandt, Clay Cooper, the Haygoods, Todd Oliver and Irving, and Jim Barber and Seville who will also be performing on stage. Also taking a turn are the Knudsen Brothers, also known as SIX; Showstoppers! from the Showboat Branson Belle; the “Spirit of Christmas” dancers; and the cast of “A Dickens’ Christmas Carol” from Silver Dollar City. The Baldknobbers, Blues Brothers from “Legends in Concert,” and the Branson High School Cheerleaders are also scheduled for stage appearances.

Special parade entries include Gene Williams, star of the nationally syndicated “Gene Williams Country Music TV Show” and his co-host Katie Lynn and Stan Bess, Phyllis Palmer and Terry the Tour Guide from the Vacation Channel. Also making appearances are Dino Kartsonakis, the Rankin Brothers, Liverpool Legends, Les Brown Jr., the Brett Family, the World Famous Platters, the Hughes Brothers, Barbara Fairchild and Roy Morris, and top-selling Native American recording artists, Brulé. Cast members from “Rock & Roll is Here to Stay,” “Magnificent Variety” and Circle B Chuckwagon will also be featured.

Non-profit groups involved are Missouri Kids, a division of American Kids Inc., the nation’s only little league of entertainers, the local Rotary Chapter and the local Boys and Girls Club who will be featured on a amphibious vehicle based on the famous WW II DUKW design from Ride the Ducks.

In addition to Ride the Ducks, other businesses represented are Branson Limousine and Executive Charter Inc., Chopper Charter, Thousand Hills Golf Course, Titanic, the World's Largest Museum Attraction, Aspire Medical Spa, Lodge of the Ozarks, PFI and Downstream Casino Resort.

Ms. Missouri 2009, Miss Branson Teen, Ms. Branson, Ms. Springfield, Ms. Springfield Outstanding Teen and Miss Queen City 2010 will also be riding in the parade.

Among the marching bands are Blue Eye High School, Wheaton Spirit High School, and Valley High School.

Santa and Mrs. Claus have the place of honor at the parade’s end and Branson Fire Department at the beginning.

“I am humbled by the great support that has been shown for this parade,” Bartlett said. “A host of volunteers in addition to the parade entries are working behind the scenes to earn the ‘Macy’s of the Midwest’ label that it has been given.”

The television broadcast schedule is for Thanksgiving and Christmas day to an estimated 102 million plus households across the nation. In the Springfield/Branson area the parade special will be televised on KSFX Ozarks FOX. In Branson on the Vacation Channel it will be aired six times: Thanksgiving Day at 8 a.m., Nov. 27 at 8 p.m., Nov. 28 at 8 p.m., Nov. 29 at 8 a.m., Nov. 30 at 8 p.m., and Christmas Eve at 8 p.m. National broadcasts are on RFD TV and Retro Television Network (RTN).
