Have you ever been stuck in your office at work, or on your way to work, and seen a truck driver, and wondered what it would be like to be a truck driver?
Well if so, then you have also wondered how you could do it, and still keep your day job as well? There are not too many games online that you can actually pretend to be a truck driver. I know what you are thinking. But really there is not many, especially as creative as this one.
Trukz (pronounced "Trucks") is a text based trucking simulation game where you create your driver, buy yourself a truck, then earn money by hauling loads to and from various cities around the world including the United States, Canada, Mexico, Central America, Australia, and numerous countries in and around Europe.
Sure it is just a text game, BUT it is the most realistic game out there. It is a game that actually gives you the feel of being a truck driver, without most all the BS "real Truckers" go through. I have been playing this game since November of last year. Even when I was driving out on the road for real, I could still play the game.
The game gives you the feel, of being a real truck driver without leaving the comforts of your home or office, well for that matter anywhere because you can also play the game on most mobile devices too. "Real Truckers" are legally allowed to drive eleven hours then must perform a mandatory ten hour break in the sleeper before driving again. "Trukz game" players are allowed to drive for ten hours, (which only consist of ten clicks of the mouse) you can go over the ten hour mark. But you risk receiving a "ticket" and having to pay a fine and lose "rating points". Rating points is the name of the game, if you gain rating points, then you can haul more weight, which in-turn will make you more money.
I don't want to give away too much information, but you can play this game as a company driver or an owner operator. As a company driver, you will need to fill out an application and submit to the company you want to work for. Being a company driver has benefits as well, most companies have discounts they offer either on buying a truck, or repairs, and fuel cost. Also, usually companies buy up terminals where you can get discounted fuel and repairs. They do all this for a certain percentage of your cash for each load.
You, can however, go it on your own as well, and play owner operator. This means you pay full price for everything fuel, repairs, upgrades and you don't have the privilege of owning more than one terminal. The game administrators have implemented something I do like for individual players, and that is small contracts. You still need to bid on these, just as the big companies do, but you only have to bid against other individuals.
Contract loads pay a GREAT DEAL of more money than the regular hot loads do. So running a few contracts will get you a GREAT DEAL of more money quickly. So that you can afford to buy newer trucks, which go faster and allow you to finish your load's quicker. I think I am going to stop with the review here, as I don't want to give too many of the features away, the game is a great play and it is easy and I am glad to have been part of it. Here, I will add a couple of links to my blog that DOES give some insider information on how to get started and play Trukz.
