Jared Ross was the Flyers second call up of the day on Wednesday.
Less than 10 days ago, Ross was the MVP of the AHL All-Star Game as a member of Planet USA while representing the Phantoms at the annual tilt. His seven points in the game (1 + 6 = 7) were an AHL record.
Ross, 26 years old, hasn't registered a point yet this season for the Flyers in five games. The Huntsville, Alabama native has provided a spark off the bench as noted in the Philadelphia Daily News.
He has proven himself at the AHL level, leading the team this year in both goals and points. This season, Ross has netted 42 points (19 + 23 = 42) and last year he posted 62 points in 67 games.
Ross is available for tonight's game against the Eastern Conference leading Bruins, but it isn't exactly clear who will sit out if Ross is to be penciled into the lineup.
