I've got good news for all you sweet potato fry fiends: The Meridian Room has reopened its doors. The restaurant's reopening is not only good news for my belly, but good news for the dwindling Fair Park economy. Every time another gallery/restaurant/bar closes, I cringe a little. But, here's hoping the new Meridian Room will help revive the stale community. 

I will admit though, there was something a little off about the Meridian Room when I visited after it had been taken over by new management. My friends and I decided it was more brightly lit and the blank walls made the environment less inviting than before. The food was also slightly different, but still tasty.
