Possibly, with the price of gas, some people don't even want to bother with carry-out. They want their favorite treats sent to them.
I happen to be the editor of Gary Allen's Music City Beat, a monthly free newsletter sent to your inbox. Gary Allen, of course, was the original drummer for The Charlie Daniels Band and also, drummer for J.J. Cale. Just as musicians are fighting the big record companies, family food producers are fighting the big box stores. These producers are able to send orders right to your doorstep. This is perfect for the holidays. You might have lots of people milling through your house and the weather may not cooperate with you to get to the store, anyway. Plus, hand-crafted foods are often made from old family recipes that give them a homemade taste -- with no fuss from you.
