From Tabby's Place

A cat sanctuary called Tabby's Place has been created to take care of cats that have been, as the Tabby's Place website says, "rescued from hopeless situations." These situations include health issues like FIV (the feline version of HIV), Inflammatory Bowel Disease, physical handicaps like paralysis, and abandonment. You can get a preview of this amazing cat sanctuary by watching the video below.

And that’s only a taste; you can watch the full virtual tour of Tabby’s Place on their website.

One of the best things about Tabby’s Place is that the cats taken into the sanctuary are guaranteed a forever home, whether they’re adopted or not. In a world where far too many shelters are forced to put animals to sleep, Tabby’s Place shows what shelters could be if all of us were willing to donate a little more time and money to our local shelter or animal sanctuary.

While Tabby’s Place is located in New Jersey, there are plenty of local shelters, sanctuaries, and rescue missions that you can donate a little of your time or money to; a few of these places include HART (Homeless Animal Rescue Team), PAW (Partnership for Animal Welfare), and the Animal Welfare League of Alexandria.

Each of these organizations host animal adoptions on a regular basis, so if  you’re looking to adopt a pet, please consider contacting one of these organizations before visiting your local pet shop.
