For those of you who were concerned about how you would make your budget stretch far enough to include the pets in your life this holiday season, the great news is that Petsmart has some really unbelievable prices between now and the 24th of December.

Most items are between 30% and 50% off. While you do need to be a “PetPerks” member to get some of the deals, signing up is free, so you don’t need to spend anything extra to get the savings.

While it’s tempting to buy your pets lots of toys for the holiday, consider buying them some necessities that they really need, like a new pet bed, vitamins, or a new collar if theirs is worn or they are starting to outgrow their current collar.

While pets appreciate a shiny new toy or a colorful new bowl, they will ultimately appreciate gifts that promote optimal health or make their life more comfortable year round much more than a toy that will last for less than a week. If you keep that in mind when you pass the impeccably presented display of chew-toys, you should be well on your way to being a smart holiday shopper for your pet.
