Lucy Lawless -- best known as Xena, Warrior Princess -- will be at Comic-Com 2009! Lawless, who recently starred as D'Anna, one of the Cylon models on Battlestar Galactica, will be a part of a panel discussion on Friday afternoon, July 24th for the show Spartacus: Blood and Sand.

The actress will introduce Spartacus: Blood and Sand to attendees in Room 6BCF of the San Diego Convention Center at 12:45 pm. In addition to Lawless, the panel will include Rob Tapert  (Lawless' husband) and Steven S. DeKnight, executive producers of the show. Stars Andy Whitfield and Peter Mensah will also be on hand.

DeKnight has worked with Joss Whedon on Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Angel and Dollhouse. Whedon will also be attending the convention.

Spartacus: Blood and Sand, which debuts on Starz in January 2010, brings to life the world of ancient gladiators. An exclusive first-look at the show will be presented during the panel.
