The Nobel Peace Prize winning President of the United States has declared war on Fox News. He assailed Rush earlier this year saying “You can’t just listen to Rush Limbaugh and get things done.” The ratings boost he provided Rush was not enough for the President so he must now take on the Fox News Channel.
Aside from dodging Fox during the campaign, President Obama voiced his displeasure with them during one of his greatest achievements in office, killing a fly.
For the President, who has graced more magazine covers than any other President in history, to complain about one news network is a testimony to his deep insecurity an sense of entitlement.
This President has received the lightest and most favorable coverage of any President in American history. President George Washington had to face an actual rebellion and President Lincoln had to fight a war. Nobel Peace Prize Winning President Obama may be played by Will Smith in the upcoming Obama movie. Hard times indeed.
President Bush is often invoked by this White House, so it is fitting to compare the coverage of both Presidents. Other than some of talk radio and and half of Fox News, President Bush was under assault by every bookstore, blog, news network, PBS, NPR, news paper, magazine, television show, motion picture and editorial cartoons.
Yet through all of the negative coverage, President Bush won a second term. Was he that good? I don't think so. Is President Obama this petty? I think his actions speak for themselves.
