It really is the end of the world as we know it!
Even though the heavily hyped apocalyptic epic "2012" doesn't hit theaters until November 13th, a TV version based on the film is already in the works. Master of the post-modern disaster film Roland Emmerich confirmed to Entertainment Weekly this week that "2012" offered "plenty to do in a TV show." Emmerich's executive producer Mark Gordon, best known "Grey's Anatomy" and "Private Practice" would be attached.
"The plan is that it is 2013 and it's about what happens after the disaster," Emmerich told EW while walking the red carpet during Tuesday's "2012" premiere. "It is about the resettling of Earth. That is very, very fascinating."
The End as The Beginning? Now that is primetime drama! And speaking of epic, check out the video for Adam Lambert's new single, "Time for Miracles," from the film's soundtrack.
