Narnia, ahoy!
While "The Twilight Saga: New Moon" looks to be the holiday film hit of 2009, the studios are already staking their claims for what will be an epic Christmas 2010. As the Walt Disney Studios programs "Tron: Legacy," Sony Pictures has Seth Rogen and "The Green Hornet," all set for release within a week of each other next December. Now, 20th Century Fox enters the fray with "The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader."
Picking up where Disney left off, Walden Media teamed with Fox to bring this third chapter from C.S. Lewis' timeless saga to the screen. Directed by esteemed filmmaker Michael Apted, production wrapped on the film in Australia on November 27. The film reunites "Prince Caspian's" Ben Barnes with original "Narnians" Skandar Keynes, Georgie Henley and Liam Neeson in this most poignant chapter in the famed series of books. Joining the voyage is Will Poulter ("Son of Rambow"), whose buzzed about performance is already being referred to as "scene stealing."
Will the awesome power of three help "The Dawn Treader" lead the Holiday 2010 film armada? The adventure sets sail on December 10, 2010.
In the meantime, the first images from the film have landed on-line exclusively via the Narnia Facebook page, which have been gathered together for your viewing pleasure in the slide-show below.
