The military sci-fi shooter deploys an update

Section 8, the PC and Xbox 360 exclusive sci-fi themed shooter from Southpeak Interactive & Timegate Studios gets a minor update today, mainly focusing on improved stat tracking and tweaked controls.

According to the developer, the update includes these improvements:

· Tank controls have been tuned, making them more intuitive and responsive

· The improved automatch system offers enhanced responsiveness when searching for a server

· Bot AI has been improved. Bots will now follow and defend allies and will pursue retreating targets more aggressively

· An improved stat tracking framework

Though the FPS has had lackluster sales despite decent critical reception, it was a competent multiplayer shooter that, while not on par with the likes of Battlefield, definitely scratched the same itch. With it's currently reduced retail price of $39.99, it's worth a look. (If you can manage to pull yourself away from Modern Warfare 2.)
