Take the StringingMagazine.com Challenge

Is your beading prowess up for a challenge? StringingMagazine.com has one last Challenge for the year: “Around the World” with the submission deadline on September 7, 2009. Here are the Challenge Rules.

Voting for the Spring Challenge (“Elemental, My Dear”) is closed, but voting for the Summer Challenge (“Magical Forest”) is until July 17th. If you haven’t checked out the competition, hurry on to the gallery and pick your winner. Good luck with making an easy choice!

Then head on back to your beading table and whip out that Fall Challenge Champion! Remember, the theme is “Around the World”, so think about exotic places, glamorous ambience, or mysterious elements. Or maybe your necklace could represent the diversity of global cultures. A bracelet made of beads collected from different parts of the world would make a dramatic statement. Ah, countless ideas!

“Luau”, my tropical seas necklace, was featured in the Summer 2007 issue of Stringing Magazine. Maybe I can make a similar design for the “Around the World” challenge.

Why don't we all take the challenge! We have two months to work on it!
