This year’s Teen Choice Awards have come and gone, but the images of the stylish frocks and fashion worn by today’s hottest young stars are still fresh in the minds of the millions of people watching at home. Many of the young ladies gracing the red carpet this year kept it safe, but a few dared to be different. Fashion is in the eye of the beholder, so if you like a little edge to your ensemble you probably loved Kristen Stewart’s look. If you prefer classical styling, Hayden Panettiere’s look is for you.

I’ve picked three very different looks, which oddly all happen to be black and white, and provided budget-friendly options that shouldn't break your bank.

Emma Roberts' Simple Statement for $149.83

Roberts kept it simple and chic in black and white in her Monique Lhuillier Resort 2009 mini dress, which features a gorgeous black beaded neckline paired with a pair of platform ankle boots. Achieve a similar look with a simple white sheath dress , a flower bib necklace, ankle boots and a clutch to complete the look for a night out on the town.

I.N. San Francisco Belted Sheath Dress $32.83     Metallic Flower Bib Necklace $48.00

Woven Frame Clutch (suggested) $25.00                Platform Ankle Boots $44.00

Kristen Stewart's Metallic Moment for $227.00

Defying conventions, Stewart wore Rock & Republic's daringly different Roma dress. Modesty prevailed as she wore a white tank top beneath the plunging neckline of the dress which features a dazzling mini skirt covered in several silver spikes. She completed her look with a black pair of Jerome C. Rousseau peep toe ankle boots. This dress is a showstopper for sure and will turn heads in any room. The essence of this look is casual edge and a similar look can be achieved with an embellished chain-link printed tank top, sequined mini skirt and peep toe ankle boots.

Raining Sequin Mini Skirt $79.00     Chain-Link Printed Tank $49.00   Peep Toe Ankle Boots $99.00

Leighton Meester's Striped Whimsy for $231.89

Last but not least, my personal favorite of the three looks, Meester looks like she has a sly secret as she confidently wore her Louis Vuitton Resort 2010 silk taffeta dress and bright red Brian Atwood platform pumps. She also accessorized with delicate gold earrings. a thin bracelet and black cuff.  My simplified version includes a taffeta party dress containing a similar feel of fun and whimsy, a set of pretty and inexpensive earrings and a pair of red pumps I am ready to purchase for myself.
