The members of Monte Negro, when they're not on stage.

If you're anything like me, you're always looking for a new band to inspire you, to create that new anthem for the current moment in your life.  Right now, no band sounds better than Monte Negro.  With their bilingual mix of reggae, arena rock, and latin influences, what results is a sound unlike any other,  an introspective yet powerful testament to the diverse American culture of the Obama Age...and our ability to rock.

Featuring songs such as 'Me Duele No Estar Junto A Ti' and 'Give Me Love,' their new album provides the perfect soundtrack to a weekend at work, or at the beach.  Like all good music though, words can't really describe it.  So don't take my word for it.  Instead, check them out this Thursday, November 20th at the Roxy (8433 Sunset Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90069.)

Their high energy set is truly an experience not to be missed, and at the venue that helped launch Guns 'N Roses, Pearl Jam, and so many others, you wonder if maybe someday soon Monte Negro, too, will be a household name.
