It is rare that I read something which captures my attention so completely.  Today as I was going about my normal business, I came across this  posting on a news server.  I have to say that it completely blew my mind.  The next thing that I though was, "how can I do this for myself?"  The article relays information about this unique culinary invention: the Bacon Explosion.

As it turns out, this beautiful concoction of 2# of bacon and 2# of sausage smoked for more than two hours.  If there is a barbecue joint in heaven (which I fondly hope there is), I certainly hope this one is on the menu.  Full disclosure here: I have not made this, but I want to!  If you have a smoker, a large appetite, and a weekend day handy, please email me courtesy of the Examiner or comment on this article.  If you have already made this or are thinking of doing so, please email me as well.  I think this would be the centerpiece of any Super Bowl celebration!
