Yearbooks, the latest book to come out of local comics studio 2D Cloud, will be having its official launch tomorrow, Sunday June 21st, at Arise! bookstore in downtown Minneapolis.

2D Cloud is best known for their annual compendium Good Minnesotan, a sometimes-strange but always compelling collection now on its third volume.  Yearbooks is the creation of Nicholas Breutzman, whose work appeared in the latest Minnesotan; he drew and co-wrote (with Shaun Feltz) the 40-page graphic novel--or should that be novella?

Yearbooks follows Ryan, a high school student, and his relationship with his school's art teacher, who's more than he first appears.  The book looks gorgeous, and if past work is any indication, it should be one hell of a read.

The party starts at 8:00, and once the sun sets there'll be a showing of Frank Henenlotter's film Basket Case.
