One of the things I hate about “Business News”, and by this I mean the business section of newspapers as well as “business” shows like CNN Money, are that they are so, well, pro-business to the point where they are blind to the plight of regular people. John Stewart famously pointed out just how poor CNBC was in this regard.

Now, it seems, the “business news” community stand ready to reward credit companies who stop conning people just long enough to give the bare minimum.

Here, they’re complimented for allowing customers to pick their payment due date and for NOT charging customers to make payments by phone among other activity that seems shockingly-civilized, but only when compared to their previous behavior. Gee, we’re setting the bar pretty low here, aren’t we?
