God, atheism, evolution, and poop: what's more important?

Twitter is everywhere now. No matter where you go, someone is using twitter one way or the other. Every day more people sign up to talk about random things that go on in their lives. It seems like telling the world what you’re doing right now gives a greater feeling of importance, which satisfies human ego.

Learning what people tweet about on Twitter can give us a different perspective on what people think about during the day. A more important aspect of this is knowing how many people think about a specific thing, which shows how important it is for a society as a whole.

A new tool called TwttrPoop looks at the tweets on Twitter and plots this information into a simple, yet informative graph and compares it to a number of tweets mentioning poop (or other terms that describe it). One cannot help but see how many people tweet about things like God, atheism, and evolution compared to the poop graph for that specific time. After plotting all the information, here’s what the result looks like.

You can judge for yourself and have your own conclusions. Sure, this is not a real survey, but it does show a different perspective on what is important in daily lives of people, at least those that use Twitter.
