It almost sounds too absurd to actually believe.
Yet it's true.
Cameron Douglas' girlfriend, Kelly Sott, has been taken into custody for trying to smuggle some heroin to her boyfriend while he was a courtroom facing charges of being a meth dealer.
Kelly Sott was detected as she attempted to pass an electric toothbrush to Cameron Douglas.
But it was no ordinary toothbrush.
It was stuffed with dime bags of heroin.
At this rate, why not just bake a nail file into a cake? That may have been smarter.
Incredibly, these events all occurred inside of a federal courthouse in New York City.
Douglas, meanwhile, faces charges of selling methamphetamine between New York and L.A. and delivering the substance either in person or via express mail service.
Truth really is stranger than fiction.
