The Mays family claims they were completely unaware that late TV pitchman Billy Mays used cocaine or other non-prescription drugs before his death.
As a result, the Mays family may request an independent review of the official autopsy.
Billy Mays died June 28th at his home in Tampa, Florida.
"We were totally unaware of any non-prescription drug usage and are actively considering an independent evaluation of the autopsy results," the Mays family said in a statement.
The medical examiner's office published its autopsy report on Friday, finding that cocaine was factor in the medical condition that may have caused the sudden death of Billy Mays.
Mays last used cocaine only days before his death, according to the report.
Also found in his blood were Hydrocodone, Oxycodone and Tramadol (by prescription for hip pain), and the anti-anxiety drugs Alprazolam and Diazepam.
