Although we are all sitting here biting our nails wondering whether or not Ashlee Simpson has in fact gone into labor, we really must move on to other – albeit less important -- things…

Sanity at last from the Led Zeppelin reunion camp: Official word from Led Zeppelin’s management,QPrime  is, that If it aint “Percy” Plant up there singing, it aint Led Zeppelin. Co-founders Jimmy Page and John Paul Jones, apparently, wisely decreed this. Which doesn’t mean to say that the pair won’t tour with drummer Jason Bonham, as has been widely reported, they just won’t have the audacity to call it Led Zeppelin. “Queen” should take note of this graceful attitude.  It’s a shame that singer Robert Plant remains disinterested in a Zeppelin tour, but, let’s face it, as he no doubt has, it’s Plant who fronts the band and carries much of the performance weight. In memory of the late Pat Leonard, a memorial show and benefit will be held at tiny All Asia club, in Cambridge,  Mass, Sunday (Nov 23). Performers include fellow Moving Targets bandmate Kenny Chambers, former Lemonheads member Ben Deily

Another old name, Green River spreads some love in the Pacific Northwest with two shows next week: the band – which features Mudhoney’s Mark Arm and Pearl Jam’s Stone Gossard and Jeff Ament – relive their ‘80s youth Nov. 28 at Dante's, Portland, Or, and Nov 29, at the Showbox, Seattle, WA…

As if the interminable Grammy Awards show isn’t enough, this year the nominations, which are usually announced at a star-flecked press conference, will be announced during a star-studded hour-long show. "The Grammy Nominations Concert Live's" hosts are five-time Grammy-winner Mariah Carey, two-time winner LL Cool J and nominee 2007 Taylor Swift. The show also marks the grand opening of the Grammy Museum at L.A. Live.  "The GRAMMY Nominations Concert Live" takes place on Wednesday, Dec. 3, at the Nokia Theatre  and will be broadcast by CBS that evening. Performers include Celine Dion, Foo Fighters, B.B. King, John Mayer, and Swift. For tickets go to Ticketmaster. Proceeds benefit the Grammy Museum.
