Call it the beautiful corpse syndrome. Tomorrow, Feb. 20, Kurt Cobain would have turned 42. Hard to imagine the iconic leader of Nirvana, who died tragically in April 1994, as a middle-aged… What? Rocker? Who knows? All we have is the devilish-angelic young Kurt to remember. And the music. Oh, and his t-shirts? Worn Free, a Los Angeles based rock t-shirt company, reprises the t-shirts worn by music icons, including Kurt's mocking "Grunge is Dead" shirt and the "Hi, How Are You," which is actually a Daniel Johnston tee. Other snapshots of Cobain’s sartorial style include a vintage motorbike t-shirt, sporting the slogan "Live to Ride, Ride to Live" and a copy of the "Sounds" shirt, he copped from the British rock magazine of that name Which like Cobain, also bit it in the 1990s. Still, you can always raise a glass and opt for the "Olympia Beer" shirt Cobain once wore. But, come to think of it, didn’t Oly beer close up shop too?
