DMB returns with a bang. Dave Matthews Band has added summer dates to the spring tour already announced. The tour actually runs into early fall. The online ticket request period for the extensive summer leg begins today, Feb. 19, and continues through Monday, Mar. 2, at a specially designated website.
The spring tour launches with a sold-out show at Madison Square Garden on April 14. Plans are currently being finalized for a European tour from late June through early July.
Dave Matthews Band’s new album is set for a June 2 release. Produced by Rob Cavallo (Green Day, My Chemical Romance), the yet-to-be-titled record is the follow-up to 2005's “Stand Up.”
The touring line-up will echo that of the studio: DMB members Carter Beauford (drums), Stefan Lessard (bass), Dave Matthews (vocals, guitar), and Boyd Tinsley (violin) will be joined by longtime co-songwriter Tim Reynolds on guitar, Rashawn Ross on trumpet and Jeff Coffin on saxophone.
