Arguably, stuck among the grunge and burgeoning modern rock scne of the mid-‘90s, moody UK indie rockers Tindersticks was ahead of its time. Which is why, following several years apart, the band’s recent acitivty has felt so right, so now. Following their reformation and the release of a new record, “ The Hungry Saw,” earlier in 2008, Tindersticks began touring extensively in Europe this fall. in the new year the Brits head to North America for a short east coast and Candaian tour that marks the band’s first tour in over five years.
The touring line-up features founding members Stuart Staples (voice, guitar), David Boulter (organ, keyboards) and Neil Fraser (guitar), plus new rhythm section of Dan McKinna (bass) and Thomas Belhom (drums), and Terry Edwards (brass) and Andrew Nice (cello).
