What with fatherhood and running a splendid record label, ATO, Dave Matthews has been a very busy lad outside of his Dave Matthews Band duties. Fans will be delighted to hear that DMB’s first studio album in four years is set for an April 14 release and a spring tour has been set up too. The tour kicks off at New York City's Madison Square Garden on the evening of the yet-to-be-titled record’s release. The album is produced by Rob Cavallo (Green Day, My Chemical Romance) and will be released by DMB’s longtime label, RCA Records. The tour includes a stop at the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival, April 26, before wrapping up in Las Vegas, May 9. Ticket requests are being taken online at the DMB web site from today until Jan. 4. Tickets then go on sale to the public on Jan.17 - except for the Nashville show, which goes on sale Jan. 16.
